Who We Are

Hope for Families is a Not For Profit corporation that specializes in adoption and custody home study preparation and is one of the largest home study providers for Florida families. Our mission is to help build lasting families.

We have a double license to prepare this home study for you as we are a licensed adoption agency and also because I am a licensed clinical Marriage and Family Therapist credentialed for home studies. Therefore you can use our home study for any domestic adoptions situation throughout the USA. Many states require the home study provider to also have an agency license rather than just being a social worker and we have this valuable double licensure. All of our home studies have been accepted to facilitate the adoption by the court, the interstate compact, and by all domestic adoption agencies within the USA.

Hope for Families has a great deal of experience in completing custody and domestic adoption home studies throughout Florida. Over the last 18 years we have successfully assisted over 2,000 families through the process of adopting over 2,500 children.  We are an “A Plus” member of the Better Business Bureau and are listed as adoption professionals in Florida on adoption.com, Daniel’s Group, and the Florida adoption registry!

Lynn Brown

Growing up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and oldest girl of five brothers, Lynn says that she was raised to serve and be responsible for others, as she played a maternal role in her family. Lynn had two children of her own before she was 20 years old and raised them as a single mother. Twenty years later, she assisted her daughter in raising two granddaughters when they were pre-school age. Then it began over again when Lynn married Dr. Brown and became a beloved stepmother to his three teenage children in 2001. Lynn is the emotional glue for the whole extended and blended family and they all remain lovingly connected through her care giving.
